My Luck Is Gonna Change

Well I went down to the county fair
I thought I'd see that girl down there
I saw her there yeah that for sure
Hold'n hands with Dan McClure
I went over to the dirt-track race
I thought I'd bring her home first place
But I lost that race to Dan McClure
And he rode back to town with her
Town with her
Yeah I've been losin' all my life
You might think that's strange
But my luck is gonna change
Yeah my luck is gonna change
Well the smash-up derby was the very next night
And I knew Dan, he was up for a fight
I challenged him to a death-car duel
He bought the beer and I bought the fuel
But I should've known I'd have been out of luck
He drove a ten-foot-tire Chevy monster truck
A fairground gladiator at full power
He crushed my Plymouth for a good half hour
A good half hour
Yeah I've been losin' all my life
And you might think that's strange
But my luck is gonna change
Yeah my luck is gonna change
Well not long after old Suzi caught Dan
With another gal at the reservoir dam
She slapped old Dan across the face
And put him in his rightful place
Now I've been waitin' since that time
For the grace of God to come and shine
So Suzi called me just last night
Said she was wearin' somethin' tight
Somethin' tight
I've been losin' all my life
You might think that's strange
But my luck is gonna change
Yeah my luck is gonna change
Luck is gonna change
My luck is gonna change
Luck is gonna change
My luck is gonna change
